The BS3800 Compressor Air Pump is a complete replacement piston pump designed for use with 3HP (2.2kW) air compressors. Delivering up to 14 CFM displacement, this twin-piston, single-stage pump is suitable for replacing a worn or damaged compressor pump or for building a replacement compressor assembly.
The BS3800 is supplied as a complete pump assembly with a 280mm diameter pulley wheel for an A-profile belt and an air intake filter, making it a convenient replacement solution. The pump incorporates a robust aluminium cylinder head, cast iron cylinder construction and twin roller-bearing crankshaft for reliable operation.
The pump can be driven by a suitable 3HP electric motor (2800RPM-3000RPM) with an 85mm motor pulley (approximately) to achieve the required pump speed for correct CFM output. The pump is compatible with a range of 3HP piston compressor applications, although modifications to the compressor mounting plate may be required as well as a suitable air delivery pipe.
The BS3800 may be supplied either pre-filled with oil or with a separate bottle of oil, depending on stock. SAE 30 compressor oil is recommended.
