The BS0018 3HP 2.2kW Single Phase Electric Induction Motor is a robust, general-purpose replacement motor designed for use with air compressors and other suitable belt-driven machinery. Operating at approximately 2,800 RPM from a standard 220–240V single-phase supply, this motor provides a practical replacement solution for compressors requiring around 3HP of motor power.
The motor features twin capacitors for start and run operation, manual-reset overload protection and an S2 50% intermittent duty rating, making it particularly suited to air compressor applications where the motor operates intermittently rather than continuously.
With a 24mm tapered shaft and 54mm shaft length, the motor can be fitted to compatible air compressors using an appropriate pulley and mounting arrangement. The pulley is suitable for A-profile V-belts. Depending on the compressor, some modification to the motor mounting or base plate may be required.
