BS5500 5.5HP 4kW Single Phase Electric Air Compressor Motor

The BS5500 5.5HP Electric Compressor Motor is a robust single-phase induction motor designed specifically for driving air compressors, as well as pumps, machinery and other belt-driven equipment. Installation & Compatibility

The BS5500 is intended for use with equipment requiring a 5.5HP / 4kW single-phase drive motor. When replacing an existing compressor motor, check the motor's physical mounting arrangement, shaft dimensions, pulley requirements and belt alignment before ordering.

For compressor applications, the motor pulley must be correctly matched to the compressor pump pulley to achieve the manufacturer's recommended pump RPM. Incorrect pulley sizing can result in excessive pump speed, overheating, reduced performance or premature wear.
